Genuine Christianity

"My little children, for whom I labor in birth pangs until Christ is formed in you!" Gal4:19

"To make known to you the riches of His wisdom which is Christ in you, the hope of glory!" Col1:27

"In whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge!" Col2:3

Most people today profess to be Christians. Some attend church on a regular basses, others do not. Yet ask them about the riches of Christ or the hope of glory & you will be met with a blank stare of confusion.

You may have 'once believed' in Christ & felt some sense of relief, but has He been 'formed' in you? Do you have any evidence that you are Walking in Newness of life? That the Old things have passed away & New things have come? Can you say with confidence that I have been crucified with Him that the body of sin might be done away with & I am no longer a slave to sin?

John1:12 says, "To as many as received Him, to them He gave Power to become children of God!"

You claim to have 'received Christ', where's the Power? Do you KNOW Him? Are you 'accepted' into the beloved? Consecrated wholly to His will, walking in the Light as he is in the Light? Purified by faithful obedience to His Word? Striving to enter by the Narrow Gate? Making every effort to please & love Him? Loving your neighbor as yourself? Sharing in Christ's suffering? Dying out to your self life?

Can you say, "God be thanked, that though I was a slave to sin, yet I obeyed from my heart that form of doctrine by which I was delivered, having been set free from sin, I am a slave to righteousness!" Rom6:17-18

Of course you can't! You 'believed' for a while (Lk8:13) but Christ was never 'formed' in your heart. You wanted the Kingdom without the Cost. Forgiveness without Renewal. Eternal life without Obedience! Heb5:9

You think God's Grace makes up for your lack of commitment. That is covers your sins instead of freeing you from bondage. Like so many good church going folk, you're complacent about sin. You lack any genuine zeal for Christ. You have an excuse for everything scripture says about obedience, being dead to sin, denying yourself or enduring to the end. You're a 'hearer' not a 'doer', going through the motions & hoping you'll make it in the end. 

Christ described you perfectly when He said, "These people draw near to Me with their mouths & honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men!" Matt15:8-9

It says in Acts11:23 "When they came and saw the Grace of God, they were glad & encouraged everyone with purpose of heart to continue with the Lord!"

WHAT DID THEY SEE?

EVIDENCE of Christ Working in men's hearts, renewing them into His image! The people were bursting forth with the Living Water Jesus had promised. They were overflowing with His love. Baring the fruit of His Spirit: gentle, self-controlled, peaceful & joyous. They had been transformed from the power of satan to the Power of God! And His Light was shining bright.

Today you can hardly distinguish a professing Christian from man of the world. The message of Grace has been so corrupted by some preachers that all manner of immoral & ungodly behavior is allow in the church. Some even claim it's normal for a genuine believer in Christ to walk daily in sin & lust.

That Scriptures says, "If you live according to the flesh you will die, or to be carnally minded is death." Doesn't faze them in the least. They still insist carnality is normal and sin won't kill you spiritually.

The Bible warns us, "Let no one deceive you with empty words, because of these things (immoral behavior) the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience." Eph5:5-7

Another passages says, "They use great swelling words of emptiness to allure you through the lust of flesh, promising you liberty in Christ, while they themselves are slaves to corruption!" 2Pet2:18

Still MANY follow their destructive ways. The Way of Truth is Blasphemed and people are exploited by lies.

Religious deception is like an addictive drug. It dulls the sense, numbs the mind and paralyzes the heart. Satan's counterfeit to God's Soul saving faith has spread like gangrene. The churches are preaching it far and wide, unaware the devastation it has caused.

Masses of professing Christians live daily in bondage to sin, lust, selfishness and greed and believe themselves 'saved' by Grace because some preacher told them so. Our cities are cess pools of crime & violence, our politicians are rotten to the core. Our schools have turned into war zones and children murder children.

And all the church can do is keep making excuses for sin, while they preach 'no body's perfect' & we're covered by His Grace! No wonder the devil is having a field day.

The Churches are destitute of true holiness and the preachers keep pretending that NOTHING is wrong. While immorality is rampant they make light of sin, stressing love and forgiveness without obedience to God's word. The people are comfortable & spiritually dead.

Are you one of them? Lukewarm at best. Cold & dead to the things of God. Convinced that because you 'know' about Christ & attend church that none of this matters.

Jesus said, "If you love Me, you will Keep My Commandments! And others will KNOW you are My disciples by what you DO!" John13:35, 14:15,

Does this describe you? Can others SEE the GRACE of God, the evidence of Christ 'formed' in you? Genuine Christianity is Based on Obedient Love of God. Those walking in the light are exposing evil, not making excuses for it! Nominal Christianity may get by in the churches, but at the Judgment you will find out WHO was keeping HIS Word!
