“They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them!”

The Lie is Very Clever. It is designed to appeal to your philological need for self worth and the meaning of life. Many recognize the apparent contradictions of ‘once saved, always saved’, Election and Predestination, but they FAIL to see the foundational Premise on which the Entire lie stands. Which is Simply: The Doctrine of Original Sin. Because it has been universally embraced by the authors of what we call the Protestant Reformation, this Doctrine has become the bases of Rendering the Message of Repentance and Faith null and void in our time.

The Great difficulty in unraveling the fallacy behind this lie is connecting the pieces of the puzzle together so that you can see how ALL the Doctrines are Blended in conformity to Original sin. Remove that SINGLE Piece from the Mix and the whole lie implodes under its own weight. However if you try to work within the parameters of the false Premise (in house debate, so to speak) you will become entangled in their web and NEVER be able to reach a valid conclusion with anyone. Remember: {They have been debating these things Since the days of Augustine…..1600 years!} It is rather arrogant for you to assume you can break through the cloud of deception by quoting Scriptures and silencing the opposition.

You Need to Understand CLEARLY How the Lie Works, BEFORE you can effectively expose their Strongholds of error. This will require looking beyond all the fluff and high sounding rhetoric of their teachers. It’s like cracking a code. Until you know what the Words really mean and How they being used, much of what they say will sound fundamentally truthful. (Because all false teaching involves the use of some truth!) In fact  you will find yourself in agreement with many of their teachings! How else would they have any creditability with the people? If the Wolf looked like a Wolf, the Sheep would Flee from him. He MUST take on the Appearance of a Lamb (and even fool himself in the process!) to lead the flock into what everyone believes are greener pastures and rest for their souls.

If you engage him in friendly debate he will welcome the opportunity to set you straight and in the process you are giving him MORE Creditability toward his congregation. Allowing open discussion, questions, even some disagreements, makes him appear tolerant, loving and Christ like. The people will look to you kind of like a mentor who knows the Bible well. They will even respect your inquires to a certain degree because it makes them feel like someone is keeping them on the straight and narrow, like a doting parent.

BUT at ALL TIMES They Continue to Believe in the Lie! {That they will Born Sinners, they were Saved in their sins and will Die as sinners.} Therefore Nothing changes. The people still have the Doctrines expounded to them. They are Blind to the fallacy and they remain in their bankrupt state facing eternity on false hopes following a pastor who ‘loves’ them, but cannot see he is preaching death.

This Doctrinal Fallacy had its Roots established well before the early days of the Reformation. Therefore looking into the past for famous holiness preachers who ‘seems’ to be preaching a good message is another path of error that MANY are diverted into. Upon reading about these men you will quickly find that most of them were on good terms with their ‘Calvinist brothers’ (as they called them) In fact they worked closely together with one another in many instances throughout the country side. Consequently getting yourself involved in the ongoing debate between Calvinism and Armenism is another diversion that leads to nowhere. The Two Doctrines are so closely blended together on the Original Sin issue that the Principle of Salvation and faith are identical….on getting SAVED in your sins. Both sides Preach the exact same message: That God Saves you in your sins and Cleans you up later!

Even the renowned John Wesley taught this fallacy, and he is credited with the founding of Methodism and as the father of the holiness movement. He is highly esteemed to this day and quoted by everyone as the foremost eminent scholar of holiness doctrine over the last three hundred years. Yet his ENTIRE Doctrine is based on the False Premise of Original Sin. Because he believed that man was Born with a corrupted nature of sin from Adam, he had to bring everything the Bible says about Obedience, Repentance and Perseverance into conformity with the Doctrine. That translated into a ‘Life-Long’ Process of Crucifying the old man and dying out to sin and meant that at initial Salvation freedom from the bondage of sin was ‘Positional’ until realized in full Sanctification. As you can see, this is 100% Compatible with what is being

taught everywhere in our churches today.

Classic Wesleyan Doctrine:

1. A faithknowledge that God has actually accomplished the destruction of sin in Christ crucified and resurrected and that in my conversion I have died with Him and have been raised with Him to newness of life in which I am no longer sin's slave, and - 2. A complete break with sin (Romans 6:1213a) and a putting of myself absolutely at God's disposal in a critical act of consecration (Romans 6:13a, 19-aorist tense both places), so that I may begin to realize the full life of Christus Victor in me.

We have already died provisionally with Christ through our participation in Christ crucified; now we must permit that death to reach to the very depths of our being as we cease from self and begin to live wholly to God. The death of the "old man" is thus a process initiated by conversion and realized in sanctification. "In principle" we die with Christ in justification; in full reality we die with Him when we yield up ourselves to God as Jesus gave up His spirit to the Father on the Cross. Here Wesley has a guiding word:

A man may be dying for some time; yet he does not, properly speaking, die, till the soul is separated from the body; and in that instant, he lives the life of eternity. In like manner, he may be dying to sin for some time; yet he is not dead to sin till sin is separated from his soul; and in that instant, he lives the full life of love.... So the change wrought when the soul died to sin is of a different kind and infinitely greater than any be fore, and than any he can conceive, till he experiences it. Yet he still grows in grace, and in the knowledge of Christ, in the love and image of God; and will do so, not only till death, but to all eternity~ 24

Christ's victory thus becomes blessed reality in entire sanctification. This separation of the soul from sin to God is "the final object God has in mind in crucifying the old man" (Romans 6). Viewed positively, this act of God is life in the Spirit (Romans 8). 25 Christ reenacts in us the sanctification He accomplished in the atonement. By His perfect obedience and victorious death and resurrection He provisionally expelled sin from human experience; now He comes by the spirit to dwell and reign in us and thus work in us that loving obedience which fulfills the law. Thus Christ himself becomes our sanctification (I Corinthians 1:30). "For in him the whole fulness of diety dwells bodily, and you have come to fulness of life in Him" (Colossians 2:910, RSV).

This fullness, however, is not a private, mystical, quietistic union with Christ. It is social; it is life in the Body of Christ (I Corinthians 12:1227; Ephesians 1:212:7; 4:416; Colossians 3:14; cf. Hebrews 2:1013) In the Body of Christ-the koinonia of the Spirit we discover the full meaning of "Christ in you, the hope of glory" (Colossians 1:2129). To put the matter in fullest perspective we must add one further word. Christ's victory is complete but not final. We have been "saved by hope"the hope of resurrection and glorification with Christ (Romans 8: 1725; I Corinthians 15:2228; Philemon 3:1221; etc. ). Meanwhile our sanctification has the character of a spiritual warfare in which our victory over sin is assured as we permit Christ to live moment by moment in us (John 15:16; Ephesians 6:1018; Philemon 1:6; Colossians 1:18 23; Romans 8:1213, 2639; Romans 13:1114; Hebrews 7:25). This is the practical meaning of Christus Victor for a theology of holiness. "Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ" over the dominion of sin in conversion, over sin itself in sanctification, over the racial consequences of sin in glorification.

Peppered throughout with some Truth, the preceding is an example of what these men taught concerning Salvation and faith. Perhaps you can see how easily someone could be caught up into this, the final result sounds so intriguing….Christ as the Victor! Sin is brought into subjection. But is it True? How Can you be Reborn in Christ with the Old man still clinging to life, ‘Dying for some time!’ What is a New Creation? 2Cor5:17…..Does the Passage says ‘Old things are passing away…or HAVE Passed away?’ Are all things ‘becoming’ new or HAVE Already become new?

The Answer, according to the Doctrine:  ‘We die provisionally with Christ’ and must allow the Process to take place: ‘The death of the "old man" is thus a process initiated by conversion and realized in sanctification!’  How is this any Different than what the Calvinist teach? It isn’t. Bottom line: You Come to God in your sins, double minded, serving two masters with the lustful eye of the flesh still intact. WHY? Because you are Born a Sinner and incapable of Right Action until you are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and able to choose God.

YET their isn’t a Single Passage in the Bible anywhere that supports the notion God will grant his Holy Spirit unto a defiled Vessel still impure in bondage to sin. Including the Passage they have quoted above to support their doctrine. Rom6:4-6 in fact is speaking Clearly, NOT of an ongoing process, in the death of the old man, but a Once and for All undertaking that happened in the past, NOT to be Repeated! Surly a person grows in Grace and knowledge of the Lord, but there is a Critical Difference between Bringing the Old man into the Kingdom with you and Crucifying him in Repentance!

That’s what is MISSING here. Repentance, a CLEARING of Wrong DOING, Forsaking and Stopping of all known Sin, BEFORE the Holy Spirit is Granted in Gracious Pardon. The Heart is Made PURE by Faith in Conversion, not afterwards! (Acts15:9, 1Pet1:22) Not in ‘Principle’ or ‘Positionally’ HOW care you going to Present your members as instruments of Righteousness and not yield to the lust of the flesh unless the Old man is DEAD? If he remains alive as this Doctrine implies you will NEVER be able to do ANY of those things! You will be the Wretched man of Romans 7, Sold under the bondage of sin, waiting for the remainder of your life for some MAGIC Sanctification to take place and free you from your addictions.

So with all the fluff and high sounding words, quoting of Scriptures, they are teaching a LIE! Even though the end result is a complete victory over sin and transformation into the image of Christ. It will NEVER occur under these conditions because the Premise is WRONG. And Ultimately Real Repentance will be deemed an impossibility. ASK Any of these people who believe this Doctrine: WHEN DOES THE SIN HAVE TO STOP? At What Point is the Stopping of Sin in Repentance Connected with the Granting of Pardon by God?  THIS is where you will PART Ways with them and Expose the Lie, Guaranteed! Compromise on this and you fall into Deception with them.

This Doctrine MUST attribute the entire process of Salvation to God and Nothing to man. Because man is born a depraved sinner with only partial free will, unable to Stop sinning until Saved and filled with the Holy Spirit. In doing so they have protected the Sovereignty of God but Completely eliminated the WORKS of Repentance! Man MUST AMEND his Ways, (Jer26:13) FORSAKE the Evil of his Doings! (Isa55:7) Seek a CLEARING of his Wrong Doing. (2Cor7:10-11) DEEDS PROVE REPENTANCE! Therefore Repentance is a WORK! God DOES NOT Repent for you!

The Fallacy has Blinded these teachers to the Great Principle of Truth behind all this. That GOD has GRANTED man the PROCESS of Repentance Proven by Deeds and Faith Working by Love to Crucify the Old man, Circumcise his heart and forgive his sins. (Acts11:18, 26:18,20) The Prophets were able to see this and the early Christians understood it. But When Satan was able to introduce the Pagan fallacy of inherited sin, in 3rd Century Rome under Augustine, the Strongholds of Error were erected and have become a bulwark of Delusion every since.

It is NOT Necessary to attribute the Deeds of Repentance to God (or Prevenient Grace) When He has ALREADY Bestowed the Process through His Divine Mercy. (Rom2:4-7) It follows that He Calls, Draws, Stretches forth His hand and is not willing that any should perish! But man is Born Perfectly Capable of responding to this Call from his own Free and Independent will. That Means the Sin Must STOP in the Process of Repentance otherwise you will NEVER Serve Him with a Pure heart.
