Faith is the Victory! 

The Bible teaches that FAITH is the VICTORY that Overcomes the World! 1Jh5:4 But to look at most professing Christians you would think this verse actually says, Faith is Overcome by the World! 
"For whatever is BORN of God overcomes the world. And this is the Victory that has overcome the world, our faith! Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes on Jesus as Lord!" 1Jh5:4-5

Why is it that the vast majority of professing Christians walk in daily defeat, in bondage to various lusts and under the influence of deceiving spirits? NOTHING in scripture supports this mode of operation, yet it is common practice among those who call themselves Christians to testify of defeat and bondage. Is it enough, according to this passage to just 'believe' and that's the end of it? Christ overcomes for you. Your conduct doesn't matter. You are vanquished by the forces of evil, the lust of the flesh & the pride of life, and Still a child of God? 

Who is Righteous? NOT ME! Most professing Christians loudly proclaim. 'No one is perfect! I'm the chief of sinners! The wretched man!'  But AGAIN scripture tells us the truth: 
"Little children, let NO ONE deceive you, he who DOES what is Right is Righteous, just as HE is Righteous." 1Jh3:7 (Children like to imitate their father, such is the kingdom of God!) 

Someone isn't telling you the truth about who is righteous. Most professing Christians are under the impression they can daily practice sin & remain in bondage to lust & corruption and still be considered 'Righteous' in Christ! 'Imputed' righteousness they call it, based on Rom4:3 "Abraham believed God & it was accounted unto him as righteousness." But is that the end of it? No Guiding Principle of Righteous conduct in your life? The passage in John indicates it's something you DO, not merely something you know. 

Still many bible teachers will insist that a person can be safe & secure on his way into the kingdom without a single shred of evidence that their Christianity is real.  NO WONDER THE CHURCHES ARE FULL OF UNPRODUCTIVE, DO NOTHING CONVERTS!  This stems from the belief that a 'constant attitude' of faith is NOT required to maintain one's salvation. But here again is what the Bible has to say: 
"These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know you have eternal life and that you may CONTINUE to believe in His Name!" 1Jh5:13 

"My mother and brothers are those who hear the Word and PUT it into Practice!" Luke8:21

"Whoever KEEPS on Keeping His Word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him." 1Jh2:5  (stated in the literal tense) 

Now you can begin to understand WHY the average professing Christian today is constantly overcome by the world, rather than 'constantly' OVERCOMING the world by faith. What Scripture declares is the EXACT opposite of what's being taught as mainstream Christianity. 

The Bible says we are Victorious in Christ & Overcome the world, flesh & devil by faith! 1Jh2:15-17, 5:4-5 

They say you can walk under the influence of the world, flesh & devil, but in 'theory' you are victorious in Christ

The Bible says SIN shall NOT have dominion over you! Rom6:14 

They say because you are 'under grace' you can sin with impunity and still be Free 'Indeed' in Christ. Jh8:32

The Bible says that those who Love God will KEEP His Commandments! 1Jh2:3-6, Jh14:15 

They say that 'Keeping' His commandments is 'believing' on Him & that's the end of it! Jh6:39-40 

The Bible says you must STRIVE to enter by the Narrow Gate! Lk13:24 

They say if you 'strive', you're trying to save yourself by 'works'! Eph2:8-9

The Bible says 'Add to your faith', so you won't stumble & fall away! 2Pet1:4-11

They says there's NOTHING to add. 

The Bible says you MUST remain Steadfast to the end to enter the Kingdom! Matt10:22, 2Cor15:2, Heb3:14, Rom2:7

They say a single moment of faith is enough! Rom10:9-10

Do you have Faith that Overcomes the World? 

Scripture demands that you EXAMINE yourself as to whether you are in the faith! PROVE yourself! 2Cor13:5 
Is the WORK of FAITH with POWER actually taking place inside your soul? What evidence can you produce? 

Prominent Bible teachers are telling you that no such evidence is required. But if your soul is VACANT of this power you are 'disqualified' concerning the faith. This same word is used elsewhere in scripture as: Castaway, rejected & reprobate. Immediately after one of the most severe warnings contained in scripture, Heb6:1-6, it says: 
"For the earth which drinks in the rain that often falls upon it & bear herbs useful for those by whom it is cultivated receives blessing from God, BUT if it bears thorns & briars, it is REJECTED & near to being cursed, whose end is be burned." Heb6:7-8 

GOD saved you for a reason! TO go forth and bare fruit & that your fruit should remain! (Jh15:1-6, 15) 
"He redeemed us from every lawless deed and PURIFIED for Himself HIS own special people ZEALOUS for good works!" Titus2:14 

NO ONE who is VACANT of fruit producing Good Works will inherit the Kingdom of God! The WHOLE Purpose of the salvation of mankind was to SAVE him from the corrupting influence of sin and create inside him a NEW HEART hungry for the Righteousness & Purity of CHRIST! 2Pet1:4, Ezk36:25-27 

The fact that this ISN'T happening in the lives of professing Christians today is evidence of the lack of SOUND leadership in the church pulpits. Today the average person comes to church, gets 'saved' by making some sort of profession in Christ, joins the fellowship and remains in bondage to sin. Although they may be a 'moral' person judging by human standards. Not involved in vile sin such as drunkenness or sexual immorality, they NEVER experience the VICTORIOUS Walk in Christ described in 1John5  WHY? 

Again, Scripture explains: "They measure themselves by themselves & compare themselves among themselves!" 2Cor10:12 "This is NOT wise!" 

By setting the Standard of measurement on a 'human' level, they have been taken captive by the devil to do his will! The new professing convert comes in among the professing 'mature' believers, takes a closer look at their conduct in Christ and begins to draw some very dangerous conclusions: 

a) They don't seem to take the things of God seriously, why then should I? 
b) They are constantly making excuses for their 'little' sins, it must be the normal Christian experience! 
c) The example set forth by the church leadership seems to excuse sin, who am I to say this is wrong?
d) Therefore the normal Christian life is to excuse the 'little' things & don't worry about the rest!

Depending on the doctrinal view of the believer's 'security', this is the prevailing attitude of MOST professing Christians in the church today. If God DOES NOT require a 'STEADFAST' faith in Christ that will endure to the end, then anything is acceptable! Thus you have the mind-set of the modern day church in a nut shell;
"Walk the aisle, repeat this prayer and you're in forever more!" 

Under this form of Christianity man has created a God in his own image, who demands nothing, requires nothing and excuses everything. It's a mixture of humanism, Calvinism and easy believeism! The churches are loaded with 'converts' but they are full of DEAD men's bones. Matt24:27 

Here's what the Scriptures have to say about inheriting eternal life: 

"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul & Strength! Do this & Live!" Mark12:30

"Those who by Steadfast endurance seek for glory, honor & immorality will inherit eternal life!" Rom2:7 

"Therefore consider the goodness & severity of God; on those who fell severity, but toward you goodness. IF you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you ALSO will be cut off!" Rom11:22

"He will present you holy & blameless to God, IF indeed you continue in the faith, GROUNDED, STEADFAST & IMMOVABLE from the hope of the Gospel!" Col1:22-23

"By this Gospel you are saved, IF you holdfast that Word which I preached!" 1Cor15:2

You decide. Will you continue to follow the man-made version of Christianity, or what God has said from His own WORD? According to the scriptures, MOST of you will continue down the road to hell. (Matt7:13-14) FEW shall find eternal life. You don't believe it? Look around....is the LIFE of Christ living & abiding in ANYONE you know?
WHO among you is HUMBLE, MEEK, PURE IN HEART & OBEDIENT to God's Word?  WHO wants to be?

The choice is yours to make. The world is full of phonies & fakers. Join them or FOLLOW Jesus! It's up to you.
